TORONTO / Apr 13, 2021 / Business Wire / Sierra Metals Inc. (TSX: SMT) (BVL: SMT) (NYSE AMERICAN: SMTS) (“Sierra Metals” or “the Company”) today announces that drilling results demonstrating high-grade oxide polymetallic ore has been confirmed in an area between the Cachi Cachi and Esperanza zones along the Yauricocha Fault and within current operations at the Yauricocha Mine.

Mr. Lujan added, “In 2020, the Company commenced construction on a tunnel to connect the Esperanza and the Cachi Cachi orebodies, located 820 meters apart. The tunnel allowed exploration along this area adjacent to the trend of the mineralized bodies at the Yauricocha mine. This zone is a top priority exploration target for the Company due to its favorable geologic setting and strong geophysical anomalies from our Titan 24 Survey. Today’s announcement corresponds to the drilling campaigns of the first two exploration stations along this tunnel. Further drilling stations are planned in the coming months once the tunnel reaches the Cachi Cachi orebodies.”

TORONTOMarch 1, 2021 /CNW/ – Orefinders Resources Inc. (“Orefinders” or the “Company”) (TSX.V: ORX) is pleased announce the launch of a deep penetrating ORION SWATH ground-based Geophysical Survey (the “Survey”) on its McGarry Gold Project located to the west of and adjacent to the former Kerr Addison Mine that produced approximately 11 million ounces of gold prior to closing in 1996.

“This sort of property wide survey, combining deep penetrating IP (Induced Polarization) and MT (Magnetotelluric) technologies has never been conducted on the McGarry properties. This approach is aimed at delineating new exploration drilling targets that could lead to new discoveries on a highly perspective project on the Larder-Cadillac Structure,” said Keith Benn, Orefinders Vice President of Exploration.

Technical Detail on the Geophysical Survey

The Company has engaged Quantec Geoscience to carry out their unique combined DCIP (DC Resistivity and Induced Polarization) and MT (magnetotelluric) Geophysical Survey (ORION SWATH Survey) covering the near totality of the McGarry Gold Project. The Survey will employ a broad array of multi channel sensors to gather a very large number of data points for electrical properties in the geological subsurface thus generating a high-resolution data set with coverage to significant depths (induced polarization to approximately 600 – 700 metres depth; MT resistivity to approximately 1500 metres depth). The Survey is expected to wrap up in the first half of April. The resulting data set will allow for high-resolution 3-D modeling of the McGarry Project and the identification and prioritization of drilling targets.

Mr. John Keating reports:

TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / December 3, 2020 / PJX Resources Inc. (TSXV:PJX) (“PJX”) is pleased to announce the final results from an approximate 33 line-kilometer Titan magnetotelluric (“MT”) ground geophysical survey by Quantec Geoscience over PJX’s DD Property and adjacent Moby Dick and NZOU properties. PJX (50%) and DLP Resources Inc. (“DLP”) (50%) have jointly acquired the mineral rights to the NZOU and Moby Dick Properties. DLP contracted Quantec to do the MT survey as part of DLP’s option agreement to earn an interest in PJX’s DD Property.

John Keating, President and CEO of PJX, commented, “This is very encouraging news. Only 3 holes (Pan18-01-Ex, Irish05-01 and IR07-01) have tested the favourable Sullivan Horizon on the 3 properties. All 3 holes intersected a geological environment that supports the potential for a Sullivan-type deposit. The MT survey has identified a large highly prospective target area that has not been drilled and could host conductive massive sulphide mineralization similar to what occurs at the Sullivan deposit. Figure 5, shows the significant size of the target area in relation to the footprint of the Sullivan deposit. We are pleased that DLP wants to continue with the option to earn an interest in the DD Property and that they plan to drill an additional 10,000 to 12,000 m to test these targets.”

Scope of Project:

Laurentian University’s Mineral Exploration Research Centre (MERC) is leading a geophysical survey in the Timmins and Cochrane area from October 7 to November 15, 2020.

The goal is to advance geoscientific knowledge about the underlying geologic architecture, structures, and mineral resource potential of the Earth’s crust approximately 30 kilometres below the surface.

The project is part of MERC’s $104 million Metal Earth project, which is Canada’s most extensive exploration research program and involves a consortium of industry partners.

Quantec Geoscience will use electromagnetic technology, specifically magnetotelluric (MT) and audio magnetotelluric (AMT) instruments, to survey selected stations within a corridor of approximately 130 kilometres by 50 kilometres.

The corridor stretches from Highway 11 in the north to 50 kilometres south of Timmins. Surveyors will be active in some residential areas.

High-resolution AMT surveys in the Timmins gold camp are made possible with consortium partner support. Newmont Corp is funding surveying from Tisdale to Matheson townships. International Explorers and Prospectors Inc. and Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) are funding surveys from Loveland to Thorneloe townships, west of Timmins.

The new survey adds data to previous seismic and ongoing MT and AMT surveys conducted through the Metal Earth project in Ontario and Quebec. Seismic surveys were completed as part of the Discover Abitibi project, managed by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation, in 2004. MT and AMT surveys were not previously conducted in the planned survey area.

Toronto, Ontario – August 6, 2020 – Generation Mining Limited (TSX:GENM) (“Gen
Mining” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the preliminary results from its SPARTAN
Magnetotelluric (“MT”) survey over a portion of the Marathon Deposit resource including the
W Horizon and structures to the west of the deposit which are believed to have provided a
favourable environment for enriched palladium mineralization. Analysis of the MT data has
identified one prospective target which consists of a discrete, previously undrilled, conductive
MT anomaly situated at a vertical depth of approximately 650 meters downdip and immediately
west of the Marathon Palladium Copper Deposit (Figure 1). The anomaly is at a depth beyond
the depth penetration capabilities of a preexisting airborne electromagnetic survey of this area
(completed by a previous operator) and most importantly the anomaly is more conductive than
Marathon Palladium Copper deposit mineralization. Consequently, the anomaly constitutes a
high priority drill target given its coincidence with the presumed down dip extension of the
Marathon Series Gabbros which constitute the feeder zones to, and are the host of, PGM-Cu
mineralization at the Marathon Deposit.

Generation Mining

TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / April 28, 2020 / Grid Metals Corp. (the “Company“) (TSXV:GRDM) is pleased to provide an update on the exploration program at its 100% owned East Bull Lake (“EBL”) palladium property (“the Property”) in Ontario. The exploration target at EBL is structurally-controlled, palladium-dominant mineralization with higher grades and greater thickness and continuity than the widespread near-surface palladium zones that have been identified to date. The Company has initiated a magnetotelluric (“MT”) survey on the Property. The MT survey is an electromagnetic geophysical method with excellent depth penetration and a proven ability to detect, directly or indirectly, the type of palladium mineralization (high palladium tenor disseminated sulfide) that is found at EBL. Initial results from the completed portions of the survey have delineated several high priority geophysical targets proximal to known palladium rich mineralization. The geophysical program is guided by a previously untested exploration model that is based on observations from the Lac des Iles palladium mine in northwestern Ontario.

….

Target Model

The exploration targets at East Bull Lake include:

  • near surface palladium mineralization having average in situ grades that are potentially amenable to open pit mining; and,
  • higher-grade, vertically extensive and structurally-controlled palladium mineralization having average in situ grades that are potentially extractable using underground mining methods.

Rationale for the MT Survey

Quantec Geoscience Ltd. is completing the MT survey on the Property using its proprietary Spartan system. The Spartan system has proven effective on properties with similar geology and palladium-rich disseminated sulfide mineralization. This is best demonstrated by the critical role the 2018/19 Spartan MT survey results played in the discovery of the western extension of the PGM Zone on Impala Canada Ltd.’s and Transition Metals Corp.’s Sunday Lake project, located near Thunder Bay, Ontario (see Transition Metals Corp. news release dated April 29, 2019 for details).

Oblique longitudinal section looking to the north showing a 2D inversion of the MT survey resistivity data. Note the significant strike length (>2 km) of anomaly PL-4, a large resistivity low that is interpreted to adhere to the base of the East Bull Lake intrusion and is apparently associated with two vertical structures. Traces for drill holes located within 100 m of either side of the section plane are shown for reference.
