Calgary , Alberta CANADA, March 01, 2011 /FSC/ – Boxxer Gold Corp. (BXX – TSX Venture, BXXRF – OTCBB_Pink_Sheets), is pleased to announce that it has contracted Quantec Geosciences Limited (“Quantec”) to conduct TITAN-24 DCIP and MT DEEP IMAGING Surveys (the Survey”) to cover an area that extends from west of DDH-05-2011 to the east including the Breccia zone, the former Oro Amigo copper mine and a portion of the Keystone Thrust Fault located on the eastern side of Boxxer’s 100% owned Boss project located in the Goodsprings Mining District in southern Nevada. Quantec has been contracted to complete approximately 23 line kilometres of Survey which is expected to commence in early March 2011.

The objectives of the Survey will be to:

a) Survey the western extension of the IP anomaly identified in 2010 that coincides with a magnetic anomaly and area of conductivity. This anomaly is currently being diamond drilled by DDH-05-2011. This area also covers the western extension of the former Boss copper mine and Boss Extension skarn,

b) Explore the area from the current drill location east including the 200 m by 250 m high-grade zinc-lead-silver Breccia zone, the former Oro Amigo copper mine and associated copper-gold-silver-PGM mineralized jasperoids, and

c) Test a significant portion of the Keystone Thrust Fault located east of the Oro Amigo mine.

Boxxer’s President and CEO, Elmer B. Stewart, commented, “Boxxer’s exploration target* on the Boss project is a porphyry copper deposit that ranges from 500 to 800 million tonnes grading from 0.7% to 1.0% copper and from 0.2 g/t and 0.4 g/t gold. The intersection of porphyritic dikes and two zones of visible copper in DDH-04-2011 and the strong geochemical anomalies in DDH-02-2010 and DDH-03-2010 strongly supports the potential for Boxxer’s exploration target. The DCIP and MT surveys to date have significantly increased our understanding of the regional structures and alteration in this part of the Goodsprings District”

* The potential quantities and grades for the exploration target on the Boss project are conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a resource and it is uncertain if future exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource. The basis for the potential quantities and grades are the 2001 to 2010 sampling results, the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the mineralized zones, the size of the alteration zone, size of the IP anomalies, the 2010 and 2011 diamond drill results, similarities to other porphyry copper districts and that the dimensions of the mineralized zones have not been delineated.

Future Plans:

Boxxer has retained Dr. John Fedorowich, senior consulting geologist for Itasca Consulting Canada Inc. to complete a structural analysis of the Goodsprings Mining District. The structural analysis is expected to commence in mid-March. On completion of DDH-05-2011 which is expected to be completed with two weeks, the drilling will switch to drill test the copper-gold-silver mineralization exposed in bedrock in the Boss Extension using a heli-portable diamond drill. A minimum of three holes are planned on this target.

Elmer B. Stewart, M.Sc., P. Geol., President of Boxxer and the Corporation’s nominated Qualified Person pursuant to National Instrument #43-101, Standards for Disclosure for Mineral Projects, has reviewed the technical information disclosed in this news release.
